H1N1 (Swine) Flu Watch

Monroe, LA - The NIFA national headquarters is monitoring the current outbreak of the H1N1 flu virus (Swine flu) for impact on SAFECON 2009. At the present time, we do not see the need to cancel the event. However, we ask that all participants refrain from traveling to Cahokia, IL prior to Friday, May 8th.

Should the Centers of Disease Control recommend canceling or rescheduling conventions, NIFA will isse their decision on or before May 8th, if possible. This however, does not mean that SAFECON would not be cancelled after May 8th, if the CDC issues such a recommendation.
